The girls are on spring break this week, and it’s been a strange and sad week (see below). So I’m just slowing down with work and enjoying being with my kids. Kate has a cold (or allergies? it came on last night) so we’re laying low today. But we had a picnic in my car and went bowling yesterday. I want to get them to a museum, the zoo, and some other fun places as soon as she’s feeling better.

Our magnolia tree is blooming, and our peony bushes have little buds - I am so excited for everything to bloom again.

I threw a “Welcome Spring” party for the girls and their friends and shared all the details on my blog. There were a dozen little girls running around our house, painting eggs and playing dress-up, and it was very sweet to be able to do that. The party was a good distraction while I waited for some very difficult news.

Margot is officially moved in to her new room.

I’m making some changes to our family room – we have a big cabinet and chairs ordered. It’s going to look so good when it’s done.

The playroom finally feels done with the addition of new art. I’ll shoot the room soon - just need to be in the right headspace, and need a sunny day.

Bunny sitting has been extended. My friend needed some extra help after having her baby, so Kimchi the bun will be with us a while longer. The longer she’s here, the more I actually do want a bunny. My kids adore her, and she’s messy but easy to take care of.

Sales and recent finds

I finally caved and bought the vacuum that scrubs hardwood floors and it is incredible! It won’t replace your vacuum since you can’t use it on carpet, but it will replace your mop, and is great for daily cleanup and spills in the kitchen. You can vacuum a cup of coffee with this thing! It’s on major sale right now and I cannot recommend it enough. It’s cordless (charges on a base) and self-cleans while it charges. It’s seriously amazing.

Jack’s playpen is 20% off. It comes fully assembled, is easy to fold, and he can’t knock it over. I like the design and how he doesn’t feel like he’s in prison when he’s in there, and the girls love that he can’t knock their magnatiles creations over.

Conor hijacked my callus remover, so I bought a new one because that’s just a gross thing to share (anyone else not like feet?) and it’s even more powerful and on sale.

My tripod clothing rack is perfect for small spaces and 40% off.

Varley’s new court collection is here and it’s amazing. I want everything.
