There’s nothing quite like a 3 hour sit-down with someone. The kind where you put it all on the table and talk about everything. I love one-on-one connection and had the most wonderful conversation with Jackie Loughlin yesterday. We shared our stories and I left feeling moved and inspired.
She is someone who helps people and I feel such a deep connection to that. That is something that has always been important to me. Sharing those real stories helps me feel connected to others and gives me purpose. Gift guides and roundups are fun, but it’s the posts like this that connect us.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I want to do next. And I don’t have an answer, but want to share the things I’ve been thinking about, and how I’m figuring out what’s next.
The experiences we go through shape who we are. How our parents treats us paves the path for how we might expect to be treated later on. So looking back, it makes sense that I spent 19-29 in a verbally abusive relationship. My self-worth was non existent and it took years to finally choose me.
