This is for all the new moms who feel a little anxious. Or like they’re not ready to leave their baby. I’m here to normalize it and tell you that you’re not alone. I wouldn’t have been ready when my first was my third baby’s age. But here I am, a mom of 3, heading to London for my first girls’ trip since becoming a mom. I’ve traveled to Europe a few times, but with kids. It’s been a long time coming. ✨
This might seem like a small step to some of you, but it feels exciting to be in a place where I feel good about leaving. Keep in mind that my husband will be here so I don’t really need to worry. But I am not overly anxious about leaving which is something. I am very fortunate to have a good system in place. Our au pair is amazing, my husband is a very involved and supportive dad and partner, and my mother-in-law lives close by and will come visit (and distract) the kids and help out, too.
Moms! I’m curious: When was your first trip after having kids. Was it with or without you partner if you have one? Any tips or motivation for other moms (me included) to travel and leave the kids behind?
I am packed (ish) short of a few last-minute purchases. My compression cubes were delayed so I just ordered these on Amazon and hope they do the trick. I really want to make the carry-on and tote work since it’s such a short trip. I ordered a little pouch to keep my cords and chargers organized (because virgo), and an extra travel charger. My new book is loaded onto my Kindle, podcasts and The Eras Tour set list have been downloaded. I need to narrow down my outfits, but I am ready.

I’m going to work on my London packing list as soon as I eliminate a dress or two. And if you have any other content requests, please let me know.
SEO reached 102k organic the last 30 days. It feels slow but steady. A good lesson in patience.
And you know that big project I’m starting in September? I’ve been hesitating signing a contract that makes it all real, and plan to do that the Monday after I return. Then we’ll set up the call to get started and I’ll start moving. I get so hung up on the simplest steps sometimes.
