Weekend Reading #49
Our first day in LA, our new garage floor, Jack's bathroom renovation, recent finds, and my big surprise for the girls!
Greetings from sunny California! It’s so nice to be back home in LA with my girls. Our travel day went pretty smoothly, but it took longer than I thought it would getting us and all our stuff from the airport to the rental car. The girls are the best ages and it feels so good as a mom to be in this era with them. I really wish Jack was here and miss him so much, but he’s still so little.
I’m keeping this one short and sweet since I only have a little bit of time to finish up while the girls enjoy their room service, and then I’m going to hang with my girls and head out for the day.
We checked into our hotel, I showered, and we drove right over to my friend’s house so the kids could play, and then went to dinner at Jon and Vinny’s. The patio is really cute and food was great! I ended up taking the girls to Whole Foods for a few snacks, grabbed a couple things at the drug store, and we stopped by Pinkberry for a little treat before heading back to the hotel.
One of my best friends is driving to LA from Santa Barbara to spend the day with us. We’re going to do a little shopping, have lunch, and swim at the hotel. She and I talk every week but haven’t seen each other in almost two years which feels sort of insane, so I’m SO excited to see her in person. We met almost 20 years ago and have only lived in the same city for 2 years, but have only gotten closer as the years have passed.
My sister is actually out of town this weekend but gets home tomorrow and will meet us at Disneyland in a few days. But the big surprise for the girls is that I’m going to take them to Disneyland one day early. They have no idea they’ll get more than one day at the park, and I’m just planning to drive in and have them figure it out. I can’t wait!
Recent Finds
You have to try this clean hair and body mist
I also found this new clean rollerball — it’s such a fresh and clean scent.
This $34 candle would be such a great gift. Highly recommend the terrace view scent. We’ve been using this, too.
I just got this dress in blue and didn’t bring it to LA because it didn’t make sense for this trip, but it’s so cute.
I’ve shared this one before but it’s been a top seller for me, and I get complements every time I wear it
Our garage floor
The epoxy was installed yesterday after the girls and I left for LA. I cannot believe this transformation, and it’s not fully done, but looks so good! We had way too much stuff on the walls, so the things we don’t use regularly will go in the basement. I cannot believe how clean it looks!
And I finally shared the before and after of Jack’s bathroom on my blog.
Have so much fun in LA with the girls!
