I hope everyone had a good week and a happy belated Valentine’s Day to those who celebrate. It’s never been my thing, but is fun to do something cute with the kids. I got a pre-vacation manicure and pedicure because my husband and I are going on our first vacation together without kids tomorrow! I ran errands with Jack, picked up a heart-shaped pizza, and finished the night with a craft and part of The Eras Tour with the girls. And I bought tickets to Wicked!

This is going to be long and scattered. I’ve been working late and almost completely gave up on the au pair program this week (more on that below).

Sale Finds, Links, and Codes

This was my first week without Sakara in 2 weeks and I really missed it. Doing it again the week I get back and stocking up on my favorite granola. Use the code DANIELLEMOSS for 20% off.

There’s a deal on one of my favorite (under $50) creams right now. And you can build a bundle and save up to 25%.

But I am the most excited to try this for redness.

And I just bought Merit’s bronzer and it’s so good.

The girls were both in need of new tees and leggings, and I’m kind of tired of all the insane stuff they’ve been wearing. So I did a little shopping for spring and shared everything I bought here. Lots of cute prints, but a little simpler than some of what they’ve been wearing.

I also shopped the J. Crew sale today and got a few more basics for the girls.

warmup shorts
sized up in these leggings and this top for both girls
denim jacket
basic tees
flutter shorts
tennis dresses (in navy)

So Back to This Week

We had a temp sitter who moves to CA soon help until 1:00 three of five days which felt huge! I think got a decent amount of work done? I don’t even know. I can tell you that I worked on this post until midnight while texting with a potential au pair in Europe so I’m not that on top of things. Ha.

It’s just felt extremely nonstop with keeping up with the house and laundry, and Jack is almost a 2 year-old boy and I didn’t realize how hard that might be? He was always so easy. He’s so sweet but is a tiny bit irrational when it comes to the number of die cast cars he needs to carry around, and his reaction when he inevitably drops one is super fun. Then there’s the not wanting to be in a high chair 50% of the time. Those moments are just a lot. I know it’s a phase, but I’m tired. And there’s so much laundry to put away.

I made this chicken Monday during nap and felt so accomplished. Then I made chicken soup and Conor made this one (so good) I did a little pre-spring cleaning and organizing before leaving town tomorrow morning.

If you haven’t started Supreme Models on Netflix, it’s a must-watch. My childhood friend Rolake Bamgbose directed and produced it, but I really do think it’s better than The Super Models on Apple.

Timing aligned perfectly, and I was able to get on a zoom with Jessie (follow her if you’re not - she’s the best) to chat through SEO and affiliate. I just love her.

Also, the cats had worms, so that was fun and not gross at all and a great way to end the week. Took them to the vet, they got meds, and we’re all good here.

And our trip! We’re going to the Dominican Republic to celebrate my friend finishing cancer treatment. We leave early Sunday morning and I’m so excited to really relax with Conor and friends. I’m really hoping it goes well and that we’ll feel good about a bigger trip in September for his 40th birthday. He wants to go and I think we have to go. We spent my 40th in Italy, he loves traveling more than anything, and you only turn 40 once. I don’t even care where we go although I know it’ll probably be Italy.

And the more BTS updates for my paid subscribers below. Lots of childcare drams and the part-time sitter that lasted a day.
