How’s everyone holding up? January has been something, hasn’t it? I’ve been doing a fairly decent job of staying off social. My screen time went down by almost 40% but I had a setback and scrolled for an hour last night. I was doing so well, too. Even though I’m not having news thrown at me all day, I’m staying informed (thanks to Jessica Yellin) and even with controlling when I take information in, it’s just a lot.

My highlights of the week

Finding a a 3:34 video that Margot took of herself performing Defying Gravity on my phone and watching the San Diego and DC zoo panda cams with Kate. And Sakara happened to send me a week of meals this week which made life so. much. easier. And Severance is back. We started Landman, too, and I thought it was going to be too intense to watch before bed, but I love it.

And this beauty tool arrived. I’m really excited to use it. LOF also sent my favorite leggings (I have them in black and palm) in their deep taupe and beach taupe. They are the best leggings - even better than my aligns. I actually just donated all of my aligns to a few women in LA since I only wear these. Use DANIELLE10 for 10% off.

I am trying to find my normal in all of this, all while navigating the childcare roller coaster. There was no way my brain was going to let me work on Monday, so I decided to do a deep drawer and closet organization overhaul, purging everything we don’t need, which happens with little kids. I’d love to get rid of a stroller so trying to figure out which one. The girls had so much crap stuffed in their dresser – the papers and erasers! Just wow. I tossed so much. I pulled all the board books no one reads anymore and am donating some toys the girls have outgrown. If it’s not a car, Jack has zero interest. The vehicle obsession is next level with this kid.

Weekend Plans

We’re taking the kids out tomorrow morning, and then I’m picking up my friend’s daughter to bring her over for a playdate, and taking the girls out for manicures. Love getting to have these moments with them, and this little girl is very special to me.

It should be a full but hopefully slightly uplifting week. I always feel better when I see my people. I have therapy (which ok, I have that every week), co-working with Jackie, girls night, hair color appointment, and need to film 2 partnerships which I guess I’ll do during nap time. Because to make things extra fun, we will be without childcare come Thursday morning. More on that below.

What’s New

There are a few new blog posts up. One on my 2025 goals, and I updated my post on natural deodorant since I found a new one that I love. I wrote a review of my credit card and how I use it to make money every year.

I’m not really shopping this month, but…

I found an incredible product that everyone with young kids needs for bath time. Our new baths are finished and I was just so tired of water ending up all over the floor. The kids love it, and water stays in the tub. It’s brilliant.

You can shop my desktop calendar here.

And this purchase was partially an I’m so tired of my kids using my pillows for forts / we need it for PT for one of the kids anyway moves.

This is also on the way from Grandma. Would be an amazing birthday gift. My kids live for fort building.

One of my favorite summer dresses is back and will probably sell out again like it did last year. I did not buy it, but the brand is sending it to me. Ha.

And I shared my Tuckernuck sale favorites here. I didn’t buy anything but own a few things that are on sale.

Why we let our new nanny go, and plans for childcare

I’m going to share a childcare update below. As always, saving the more personal stuff for my paid subscribers.
