The Time I Slowed Down at Work, and How it Impacted My Income

What went well, where I lost income, and how I made it up elsewhere

I did things differently this summer. I slowed down and didn’t spend all day every day in front of the computer. I still worked a good amount but took more breaks than usual. Did I make as much as I would have liked? No. But did I do ok enough and still make more than my full-time salary at my old company while working less? Yep.

There were fewer partnerships, some of my affiliate went way down, and traffic didn’t go up as much as I would have liked. But I did well enough and want to break down what worked, what improved, and where I took my biggest hit.
