The Start of Summer
New summer pieces, the prettiest sandals, and where I'm taking my girls on our first girls trip.
A big thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post. Nordstrom is one of the few stores I shop at online and in person. I’m always there (I love their curbside pickup) whether it’s for new sandals, a restock on my sheer sunscreen stick, or even a new booster seat. And Nordstrom is where I always take my kids to be fitted for new shoes.
We had the best time in Sea Island and three days after returning home, my daughter had surgery. Things are going better than expected, but she’s congested and not feeling great, so we’re just laying in bed and watching movies while I plan our upcoming trip to California!
We’ve traveled as a family, and I took Margot to Paris last year, but this is my first time traveling solo with both of my girls, and I’m so excited! This is the stuff I love most as a mom. I’ve been wanting to go back to my hometown, and an exciting opportunity came up to do something special for Alex’s Lemonade Stand. We’ll spend a couple days in LA and end with a day at Disneyland!
With another trip coming up, and warmer days ahead, I want to share a few summer favorites with Nordstrom.
Our current double stroller is bigger and heavier than I want it to be for a solo trip with two kids. I have to get from the airport to the shuttle with luggage, a car seat, booster, and a double stroller. I wouldn’t normally bring a stroller for the girls but we have to have it for Disneyland. I’m looking for something easier and lighter, and after doing a lot of research, am considering this stroller. It’s UNDER 20 LBS, which is a big change from my 27 lb. double stroller. And it’s Disney approved.
For Myself
And while I didn’t exactly need another dress, this one is really cute.
I have a thing for sandals, and just bought these. I would recommend going up half a size. And I’ve had this for years, but this is the perfect summer bag.
I ordered a new pair of white jeans for spring and summer. They’re really comfortable and the wide leg is classic and flattering with everything from tanks to button-downs.
I’ve been getting out for more walks, and was in need of a new pair of comfortable walking shoes. I ordered these and love them! And these shorts are perfect for warm-weather walks. I also ordered some perforated socks for tennis, too.
For The Kids
I got a few summer classics for Jack. I really like putting him in polos and shorts. And I’ve shared these waterproof sandals before — they’re just so cute!
The girls got these darling pants and they’re back in stock! They’re so cute.
The girls floral cutout crocs are back!
I found the cutest coverup for Jack. There’s a pink version, too.
My kids and I run hot, so I bought a few pair of these summer pajamas. I got the flamingos, flowers, and sailboats.
These are the cutest graphic tees for kids, and they’re priced at under $20.
