The Most Important Work That I Do
Shop Danrie on June 2 and support Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation
There are a lot of things I share online — interiors, motherhood, style, wellness, and the behind-the-scenes of everyday life, to name a few. But supporting childhood cancer research and helping families navigating a pediatric cancer diagnosis will always be the most important work I do.
It all started after my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2020. I began hearing from other moms going through the same thing, and eventually started an online support group for more than 50 women navigating childhood cancer alongside their children. I still hear from newly diagnosed moms from time to time, and always do what I can to help them feel a little less alone.
Then I started fundraising, because approximately 46 children are diagnosed with cancer every single day, and many of the treatments are still incredibly old and toxic. I knew I had to do something.
Over the years, we’ve raised more than $430,000 for our children’s hospital oncology floor and for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. supporting life-saving research and families impacted by childhood cancer. I also joined ALSF’s advisory board shortly after my daughter took her final dose of chemotherapy.
On June 2, Danrie is supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. I want to say the biggest thank you to my friend Julia, the founder of Danrie, for her generosity. A percentage of all online sales from Danrie during the event will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, so everyone can participate no matter where they are.
June is also Lemonade Days at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, and signing up to host a lemonade stand with your kids is such a meaningful way to help fund childhood cancer research.
Thank you all for your support! Now tell me — what’s the most important work that you do?

I love this. I'm local to Chicago, but am not sure if I can make it. I will try though!
This is such a good cause, and no child should ever have to suffer through cancer.
The most important work I do is using my technology skills to support administering public benefits to those who need it. I am lucky to work this job full-time.
