It’s been a great week. I turned 42 (!!), had dinner in the city, and hosted 6 girlfriends on our patio last night. I went for easy and made a cheese board, and picked up a few flatbreads from a favorite restaurant. It felt so good to gather with friends, and to introduce two circles to one another.
I wanted to share some recent finds, from things to organize my home, fall clothes for the kids, and a few things I purchased for myself, too.
I published my fall bucket list today, and a few more posts this week. If you have kids, Baby Boden is back, and there are the cutest Mini Boden pieces, too. I shared all my favorites here.
My #1 purchase, and one that’s changed my life, is my Kindle. It makes reading before bed so easy since it is backlit, so I don’t need to have a lamp on. I finished Margo’s Got Money Problems, and am reading Natural Selection by Elin Hilderbrand. I’m moving on to The Paris Novel next – that one came recommended by a reader.
I updated my Shopbop hearts here. So many great finds for fall. And these sandals are on MAJOR sale and so beautiful so I had to grab them.
I found some great new tees. I got this in white, and this in navy and ivory (pictured above).
I’m organizing the girls’ art cabinet and ordered these for coloring books and papers. They’re amazing. I’m documenting the process and will share once I make some custom labels tomorrow. And since they have been leaving marker caps all over the place, I’m putting all markers with caps away since they’re not safe for Jack, and we’ll just be using these.
Now that fall is coming, I’m feeling this urge to organize again. I don’t know how things keep piling up and getting messy again, so I need to do another purge. I did get these boxes and silicone cable wraps for a storage solution for cords.
You know I’ve been really into my cricut lately, and I ended up needing a new printer to print stickers and printable vinyl for t-shirts. The way the cricut works, you can send something to your printer to print, then pop it into the cricut to cut it. Speaking of the cricut, I ended up ordering a mini heat press for smaller projects.
I ordered this microphone. It’s getting real.
I got another tripod since I never seem to know where my tripods are (need to get my life together), and it never hurts to have an extra. This one is the easiest to open/close of all 3. And I finally ordered an overhead iPhone mount for aerial video.
Can’t resist a Mark Sikes book.
Jack is obsessed with books. He wakes up asking for books and it’s just “booo” (sounds like book without the “k”) all. day. long. The kid loves an interactive book. This cookie book is a favorite. He loves this one and this one, too.
My friend gave us these little friction powered cars, and they’re perfect for toddlers.
I got this for Jack, too, and he loves it!
I ordered a Halloween diamond painting set for the girls.
I just finished reading Remarkably Bright Creatures and it was such a beautiful story. I think you would really like it! Are you on GoodReads? I set a goal for myself to read 18 books this year and I’ve read 17. I just like it to keep a record of everything I’ve read. I use a Boox Palma which also has a backlight and I love it. It is smaller than a kindle so I can hold it and turn the page with one hand.
