New Fall Finds and What I'm Looking Forward to This Season
We’ve had the most beautiful weather this week, and the house has been a lot more quiet with the girls in school. I love when crisp mornings turn into warm afternoons – warm enough for sandals but not too hot for jeans. This weather doesn’t last long here in Chicago, so I’m really trying to enjoy it.
I did a big grocery shop and am going to make a fall bowl with some of my seasonal favorites like brussels sprouts, sweet potato, and cauliflower tonight. I love fall salads and bowls, and am kind of excited for it to cool down so I can make all my favorite roasts and slow cooker meals.
The woman who cleans our home every two weeks came yesterday and shared something she’s going through when I asked how she was doing. We were able to talk for 15 or 20 minutes, and it was a reminder that we never really know what anyone is going through. We all have a story, and sometimes, our experiences can be so transactional.
I’ve been able to focus and wrote a few blog posts this week. I’ve been updating some old seasonal content, too. I filmed a sponsored story set and wrote a sponsored blog post today, so that should go live soon.
New Fall Finds and Wardrobe Updates
When going through my closet, I realized that I’m a little low on layers (tees and such). I have sweaters and jackets, but was in need of pieces to wear under them. I ordered a few things during the J. Crew sale, although the 2 things I’m most excited about weren’t on sale. I can’t wait for this cashmere tee (in snow) and cashmere shell (in navy) to arrive. I got this vintage long-sleeve tee, too.
I wasn’t so sure about mary jane style flats, but after buying my first pair, I am all-in. They’re really cute and look great with jeans and dresses. I have these in my cart – so cute and can’t beat the price, but hesitating since I can probably only wear them through October if I’m lucky.
I’m really excited about these boots (in ebony) – they’ll be perfect with dresses this season.
I just got these high-rise cuffed jeans and they’re not stretchy but are super comfortable. I’d say they run TTS with a little room, which I really appreciate.
This suede bag is under $200!
I ordered this suede belt since I’m really loving belts right now.
This bag feels casual yet elevated – I love the strap and the beautiful tone of the leather.
I love this tote, too.
